Before I entered into studying towards Level 4 and Level 5 ECD Qualification, I always had the mindset that I am a mother of two and I know how to look after babies and toddlers. Since my studies, I have realised that there is so much more into the development of the early years. I have gained more respect for the practitioners within this field.

When I finished my matric in 2019, I did not know what part to take. A friend of mine advised me to study at Edu-Build Institute. My first year as a level 4 student I noticed my confidence building up as they taught us how to be the teacher you want to be. I enjoy being an Edu-build student.

I’m currently doing my NQF level 5 with Edu-Build Institute. I’ve had a passion and love for children, but I never really considered teaching as a career. I’ve learnt and equipped a lot from Edu-Build for, instead when I started with my eco course I had no idea what Eco is and what it is all about. I did my Level 4 at a different school for a whole year and still had no Idea what I was doing. But when I got to Edu-Build, I begun to understand Eco and young children more.

When I started with Level 4 certificate I was hired because of experience I have with kids and they will place me by the 3 months to 3yrs to 4yrs now I am doing Level 5. I’m teaching Grade-R at Break Through faith pre-school. Thanks to Mrs Adolph for encouraging us that do things that you will be happy when they name you on “what you do”.

I’m a 53 year old and I have worked in the traveling industry for half of my life. But my dream was to become a teacher as we all know we were not all privileged to to fulfill our dreams because of our circumstances, and to be a person of value to a child makes a different in our of tomorrow. I have waisted a whole part of my life but I am grateful to my creator through His grace I can achieve and live my dream through Edu-Build Institute.

I’m a Level 4 student at Edu-Build Institute. My favourite was working with handicapped children in Primrose. Since I’m studying at Edu-Build, I gained more experience and knowledge in my own life that I never knew. Edu-Build taught me how to be a better person and how to be a good, well groomed teacher.
